How do I order uniform? All information about ordering uniform and exactly what you need can be found under the uniform tab under Info on the navigation bar above. For LRSD logo items, students can choose what colour print they would like and also the option of adding their name to the garment.


Can I stay and watch? During usual classes, we ask parents to drop children at the door to the hall and let the teacher take over from there. We have a watch week at the end of the spring term (before the Easter holidays) and either our big theatre show or smaller showcase at the end of the summer term.  There are plenty of opportunities to see what your child has been working on in classes.

Do I need to bring anything to class? Just your child in their correct uniform and shoes. Please make sure hair is in a neat ponytail and your child can take a bottle of water into class if they wish.

What do I do if my child needs the loo? We ask all parents/carers of children in our pre-school classes to stay at the hall during class to take their child to the loo. All other children should go to the loo before class so that trips to the toilet during class are kept to a minimum. If you aren’t happy about your child going to toilet unsupervised, please indicate this on your membership form and you will need to wait in the foyer area during class.  

Payments? We offer two payment methods at the LRSD. You can either pay termly upfront (no refunds are given) or you can spread the cost of classes over the year by paying by monthly direct debit. When you pay by direct debit we simply take the cost of 37 classes and divide by 12.

If I pay by direct debit will I pay in August? Yes as the cost is spread over 12 months of the year.

What is the notice period? If you pay by monthly direct debit you must give 1 months written notice. When you cancel, we check how many classes you have had and how much you have paid. Usually it works out about right, but depending on when you cancel, there maybe a small balance outstanding. If you pay termly, you have paid for that term upfront and no refunds will be given. If you do not want to carry on for the next term, please let us know ASAP as we will assume you are continuing and you will receive the next invoice.

What happens if a class is cancelled? We very, very rarely have to cancel a class but if it does happen we will add on a class at the end of term to make up for the missed one. Also if you ever cancel before the class can be made up, this is always reflected in the calculation so you only ever pay for classes you have had.

Where can I take a look at LRSD code of conduct?

Will my son/daughter take part in any shows or events? Yes! As mentioned earlier, every other year we do a big show in a local theatre. (In the past it has been The Hazlitt Theatre, Maidstone and The Stag Theatre, Sevenoaks) The year that we are not doing our big show, we put on a showcase at a local secondary school that has a large theatre space and stage. Throughout the year we also dance in various fetes, fairs and local productions.
