LRSD SHOOTING STARS

Ages 13+ years

Our Shooting Stars classes are aimed at teens who want to join a class for fun or in preparation for full time dance or musical theatre training. We encourage our students to work within their own abilities, whether they have no previous experience and coming to classes for the first time in their teens or those who have years of dance experience. Each student is encouraged to stretch themselves and challenge their abilities. Each student is an individual, this is so important to us and is at the heart of everything we do in our classes.

Our students get the chance to perform in our annual shows and showcases in professional theatres.

In Acro our Shooting Stars continue to work on their flexibility, strength work and learn more advanced Acro tricks. They will also learn an Acro Dance routine throughout the term, putting their Acro tricks they have learnt into a dance sequence.

Acro - Mondays 6.15-7.15pm - East Malling Centre

Cost - £25 per month (12 monthly payments per year)

In Ballet our Shooting Stars continue to further strengthen their Ballet technique, vocabulary and knowledge to an advanced level.

Ballet - Mondays 5.45-6.30pm - Leybourne Village Hall

Cost - £20 per month (12 monthly payments per year)

In Modern/Jazz and Commercial/Street Jazz our Shooting Stars continue to learn technique, strength and challenge themselves with routines to a wide range of current music.

Commercial/Street Jazz - Mondays 6.00-7.00pm - Staplehurst Village Centre

Modern/Jazz Combo - Tuesdays 5.45-6.45pm - Leybourne Village Hall

Modern/Jazz Combo - Wednesdays 5.45-6.45pm - West Malling Village Hall

Commercial/Street Jazz - Thursdays 5.45-6.45pm - Leybourne Primary School

In Musical Theatre our Shooting Stars will learn songs, script work and dances to lots of amazing musicals. Shooting Stars continue with vocal warm ups, as well as furthering their vocal and acting techniques.

Musical Theatre - Thursdays 5.00-5.45pm - Leybourne Primary School

Cost - £20 per month (12 monthly payments per year)

In Street Dance our Shooting Stars enjoy challenging but fun, structured classes, continuing to build on and learn more Street styles, techniques and steps. Our Rising Stars will be learning more complicated choreography and working on performance techniques, ready for if they chose to take part in our performance opportunities.
